Gasp! Missed Game Show!
On my final sick day of the week, I failed to watch one of my favorite game shows, Jeopardy. I am proud to say that I would mass murder if I ever had the opportunity to participate in the show. I missed its 7:30 to 8:00 slot on Channel 36 due to reasons I cannot explain. I simply slipped, and zoned out, and I faced the consequences.
Eager for Some March Madness!
As I have probably already communicated, I am a big college basketball fan. I can't wait till tournament time, and I have been thinking of who my favorite is to run the table. At this point, I like Syracuse. How bout you? Place your thoughts, compliments, and/or criticisms in the comments section
Weekend Sickness
This weekend, I spent my time at church on a youth weekend. Fun, right? Quite frankly, No. About a quarter of the way through the trip, I began to feel very queasy. I later realized I had major stomach indigestion. This lasted through Sunday afternoon, when I began to think that I had outlasted the 24 hour bug. However, I soon began to realize that I had gotten rid of the stomach bug, but I had acquired a fever and a slight headache. Because of this, I have missed school for the past two days, mostly watching college basketball, the occasional game show, etc. This sickness came at a very non-opportune time, as well, because if I were to have felt this way, say, next week, I could instead watch a basic marathon of march madness. Unfortunately, I am sick now, so I guess I have made the best of it.
NCAA Women's Basketball: 7' Phenom Doles out Punches
In the normally quiet Women's College Basketball League, we finally came across a story not related to UConn last week! In a conference game versus Texas Tech, an overly emotional Brittney Griner slugged a Texas Tech player, taking her out of the game, and putting the rest of her season into jeopardy. Griner was already somewhat well-known because of her dunks, but this run-in just threw her into the national spotlight. Many people have called the K.O. "Uncalled for," and "Immoral." Her coach was not too pleased, either. However, I think it was a fairly good move. She realized she needed to do something radical to earn her sport and herself some attention, and she shot a bull's eye here, even if she did clean someone's clock in the process.
